Farewell My Friend, Goodbye Big Sandy
Big Sandy, our 17 year old, three legged wonderdog changed addresses yesterday. She died in our house, in her own bed, safe and warm in Jenn's arms. Jenn said it was peaceful and that she just drifted off without any pain or worry. When she was gone, Jenn let me, Bernie and Jet come in to sniff Big Sandy and say goodbye. I'm not sure if I knew what was going on at the time, but it helped seeing her so quiet and still. I knew that she was somewhere else now. Big Sandy was a happy, engaging, and gentle pup with a great smile...She was special to everyone, especially me. I'm very sad. She was my friend and teacher. When I was a puppy, she taught me how to play, how to share bones, how to enjoy another dog's company.Farewell to my friend Big Sandy! She was a wonderful canine with a gentle soul and a big heart. I know she is running free, faster and happier than ever...

what a beautiful tribute to a special dog.
Jenn and Royal, I am so sorry for your loss. I know Sandy is not suffering, and left you in a peaceful way, but I also know you will miss her terribly. Susan, and I, and Nikita and Oreo send our best, and if you want to talk, we are here and available. Jim A.
Royal,
We are sad for you and all your family. Big Sandy was a very special girl. You are lucky that she helped train you when you were a puppy. She was terrific in the drill team and we will miss her.
Your friends,
Niamh & Ambrose
